INPHORMM is a transport research project funded by the European Commission's Transport Directorate DGVII as part of their programme of Research in Sustainable Mobility. The project aims to investigate how transport information, publicity / marketing campaigns and community programmes can influence people's attitudes and travel behaviour to reduce car use - and encourage cycling, walking and the use of public transport.
INPHORMM has three main objectives:A review and analysis of the use of transport information and publicity / marketing campaigns to change travel attitudes and behaviour and reduce car use - current practice in Europe
The development of a general model to understand how communication tools can be used to influence travel attitudes and behaviour
The production of good practice guidelines for a range of organisations interested in using transport information, publicity and education campaigns.
